A (first) visit to the Goth Fair

It's that time again: the World Goth Fair. Given that it's much bigger this year (over three regions whereas, if I recall correctly, it was just on the one last year) Mistress and I decided to make sure that we started out early. This is even more important given that I might actually be a little tied up this week.

For no particular reason we started with the adult region. The build itself is pretty impressive and has a really great dark feel to it.

One thing we did find rather odd and disturbing is that it seems to be cut into a number of different parcels, some with parcel privacy turned on. It's not obvious if there's a good reason for that but it got rather annoying, walking back and forth and having to have Miss Vila derender and rerender all the time. I'm not sure if this is done as some sort of (possibly misguided?) attempt at lag reduction but all it did for us is put extra strain on our machines as we kept having to reload each other as we walked around.

That said though there were plenty of interesting shops to browse around...

and I even got Mistress a gift of a rather attractive lip and face piercing set.

I think we spent a good hour and a half wandering around the one region, which just about did justice to it. We plan on visiting the other two locations over the next week or so.

We did, however, quickly drop in on the PG region as there was one particular product I wanted to make a point of grabbing. While over there we found a really fascinating shop/building that needs further exploring. The design and style of it is really rather magnificent.

Sadly though it was getting very late for Mistress so it was time to head home and tuck her in bed.

I'm rather looking forward to finishing off exploring the fair. I'll be sure to write more about it and post more photos when that happens.
